I really wish that our elected leaders would grow up, compromise and get a deal done that will address the serious underlying problems facing the United States. Instead, too many are wedded to dogma and unthinking principle that bear no relationship to our economic and fiscal challenges.

Will Netflix Kill the Internet? - BusinessWeek

An interesting article, although I must think that if folks as smart as Cisco are already predicting such an explosion in traffic, that the busy Internet infrastructure bees are hard at work increasing capacity to properly monetize all of this added usage (assuming that they have the access to capital to do so). What I would like to see, however, is an increased focus on educational applications--I have nothing against entertainment, but empowerment is not a bad goal either, don't you think?
