Big Data
I'm starting work on something (a book? something shorter?) about the gathering momentum behind "Big Data" and the intersection of Big Data with the right to privacy. I'm actively soliciting ideas for good stuff to read on this topic.
Consider "Dataclysm: Who We Are: When We Think No One's Looking" but also use the search box at http://blogs.hbr.org/ and look for Big Data, they have been writing about it for a while with a good mix of skepticism and analysis.

You've probably already read James Gleick's The Information. I heard him give a talk on it and he's brilliant.
